- How long must my passport be valid for Turkey?
- Turkey requires your passport to be valid for at least 150 days (around 5 months) beyond your date of entry, and issued within the last 10 years.
- Do UK citizens need a visa for Turkey?
- No, UK citizens get a 90-day visa-free entry within any 180-day period as of 2024. US citizens still need an e-Visa.
- What's the 10-year rule for Turkey?
- Like the EU, Turkey will not accept passports more than 10 years old on the day of entry — even if there's still validity printed on them.
- What happens if my passport doesn't meet Turkey's rule?
- Airlines will deny boarding, or you'll be refused entry on arrival in Istanbul or Antalya. Renew before booking non-refundable travel.
